• LEAVE RULES:
    In any case without guardian’s consent (Telephone / Letter), students are not allowed to leave the Institute Campus during the class hour’s. Before leaving the campus under special consideration, application must be submitted to the Teacher in-charge of the institution.
  • UNIFORM / DRESS CODE:
    During the college hours all students must be in Institute Uniform. They can’t change their uniform without prior permission of institute authority.
  • GROOMING AND HYGIENE:
    Students should always be well groomed and maintain their personal hygiene during the college hour’s.
  • CHANGE OF ADDRESS:
    In case address mentioned in the application form of any student gets changed, it must be immediately informed to the institute authority in writing.
  • PAYMENT OF FEES:
    • The course fees / tuition fees should be submitted within the due date as mentioned in the Fees Structure. Students are allowed to submit their Hostel fees within the first week every month to the accounts department before that they have to inform to the college authority.
    • No further reminder will be given and it will be notified to the students through the institute notice board.
    • In case of failure, institute will charge specific penalty after expiry date of due month. No further request will be entertained.
  • CLASS TIMING:
    Regular classes for Degree Courses will start from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    Diploma & Certificate courses classes will start from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    There will be one recess from 12:30 and 1:30 respectively for two consecutive hours.
  • ATTENDANCE REGULATIONS:
    U/S 4.1 of Chapter–II (Academic Regulations) of the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), students must attend at least 75% of theoretical, practical and sessional classes held during the semester. Failing which the student will not be eligible to appear for semester examination.
  • SECURITY:
    In case of theft/loss of student personal belongings (cash/study material/mobile phone/laptop/other valuables etc.) from the campus Institute will not be responsible for that.
  • USE OF ELECTRICAL GADGETS:
    • All electric connections must be switched-off when the room is not occupied.
    • Uses of Mobile phone inside the premise of the class is strictly prohibited. Otherwise, Mobile will be snatched- off and it will not be returned to the specified student without written permission of the said guardian.
      Mobile should always be in silent mode or switched-off in condition while the students will be present in the class.
  • DAMAGES OF COLLEGE PROPERTY:
    Any damages & losses caused to any property belonging to the institution by the student/s will be treated as punishable offence. And he/ she will be penalised.
  • ILLNESS :
    • If a student falls sick/wants to be absent in the regular classes for any medical reason the he/she must report to the Teacher in-charge in the morning of the day of illness.
    • In case he/she falls sick while on leave at home, he/she must be inform to college authority as well as he/she will have to submit the medical certificate of any registered doctor ( MD. / Doctors of any Govt. Hospital).
  • USE OF NARCOTIC MEDICINES:
    • Student will have to submit the authenticated document or prescription from a certified registered doctor.
    • Guardian must take an approval from institute authority for said cause. Failing which concerned student will be immediately suspended from the institute / hostel ( if he/she is bordered in the hostel ).
  • SMOKING AND DRINKING:
    Any student found under the influence of intoxication, within the institute premises will be suspended from the institute.
  • VISITORS:
    Visitors are normally not permitted in the classes or inside the classroom. They can be permissible to meet with the institute authority, contact with teacher in-charge first.
  • CONDUCT IN EXAMINATION:
      • Student shall not during any examination –
        • Be in possession of any book, notes, or diagrams other than those which the examiner has specified may be used for that particular examination.
        • Have any bag, pencil-case, electronic diary, electronic dictionary or programmable calculator.
        • Directly or indirectly accepts assistance to other student.
        • Directly or indirectly accepts assistance from any other student.
        • Permit any other student to copy from or otherwise use his/her papers.
        • Use any papers of any other students.
        • By any other improper means whatever obtain or endeavour to obtain, directly or indirectly, assistance in his / her work, or give or endeavour to give, directly or indirectly, assistance to any other student.
        • Disrupt the good order of the examination room or its environment.
      • Each student is required to obey any instruction given for the proper conduct of the examination.
    • No student will be allowed to write exam papers without a valid Admit Card.
    • A student who is detected committing or apparently committing a breach of one or more of the above condition may be summarily dismissed from the examination and interviewed in accordance with the Academic Misconduct procedure of the Division.
  • GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE:
    If at any time during the course, students have comments or complaints concerning specific units, these should be discussed with the relevant Lecturer in the first instance or with the class mentor. If to speak with the Principal, the process can be followed by an individual student, or by a selected Student Representative, acting on behalf of one or more students.
